The Truman Show Sequel Is Something Jim Carrey Is Thinking About

The Truman Show Sequel Jim Carrey

What Jim Carrey classic movie would you like a sequel to? That’s not an easy question to ask, but Carrey revealed he’s been thinking about a The Truman Show sequel.

The Truman Show does stand out as one of Jim Carrey’s most poignant movies, especially given the world we live in today.

The movie basically predicted the world of social media before it happened.

Jim Carrey’s performance in that film is also very interesting and quite different to his other films.

He was asked recently during an interview with Collider for the Sonic The Hedgehog movie which film of his he’d like to do a sequel to.

This question got him thinking and he revealed he thought there was scope for a The Truman Show sequel.

I think The Truman Show is something that exists on a micro level now. It was kind of a story about that on a macro level. But now everybody has a subscriber channel. Everybody has their own little Truman Show world. There’s something to be had there. I often think, and am asked about, what would have happened to Truman when he goes outside the wall. It took me a while to realize that basically, he was alone out there, too, because everybody went back inside. They all wanted to be in the dome.

This is a very interesting take on a Truman Show sequel.

I’d love to see what might happen to Truman Burbank once he gets outside of those walls.

It would be very interesting to see how he might react to social media apps like Instagram, YouTube and Facebook.
