It’s been revealed that The Mandalorian Season 3’s release date will be on Christmas day, 2021 – so, December 25th, 2021. This news was revealed by Kathleen Kennedy at yesterday’s big Disney Investor’s Day event, which was really insane.
The Mandalorian is one of the biggest shows at the moment, and it’s been a huge hit for Disney and Lucasfilm. Therefore, it’s no wonder that Kathleen Kennedy came out and revealed that The Mandalorian Season 3 is going to be coming out in a year – Christmas Day 2021 to be exact.
There was so much stuff that she revealed last night, and this announcement might have been lost a little bit in amongst all the other bonkers news that came out of yesterday’s presentation. That said, it really is big news because it means that Season 3 is only one year away – give or take a few days.

So, yep. The Mandalorian Season 3’s release date will be on Christmas day, 2021, which means the show will span from the end of 2021 to the beginning of 2022. One of the other things that Kennedy revealed was that they’ve been able to shoot the show safely throughout the pandemic thanks to the new technologies used to make the show.
She also revealed that Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni are also working on two other Star Wars live-action shows: Ahsoka and Rangers of the New Republic. She didn’t reveal much about either show, but it’s nice to know they’re being made.
