The Grand Tour Season 5 Episode 2 location(s) has seemingly been revealed! The new episode is coming to Amazon Prime Video relatively soon (we hope), and fans of the show want to know where the trio will be going. The location is always an important part of The Grand Tour because we love seeing Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond be completely idiotic in remote, beautiful and interesting locations. That’s a bit part of the show’s appeal.

Well, we’ve done some digging and we’ve found out where the upcoming special is going to be set, and I have to say that it’s going to be in a very fascinating and beautiful part of the world. However, I’m hoping that they don’t end up coming too close to an ongoing war that’s currently being waged in one of the locations they are going to visit in The Grand Tour Season 5 Episode 2.

So, where will the next special take place? Which wonderful locations will Jeremy, Richard and James get to visit next? Well, it’s been revealed that the next Grand Tour special will be set in multiple locations. The trio will travel through Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. This is actually going to be rather tricky for them because a number of these countries are very close to Ukraine which is currently in a terrible war with Russia. I won’t go into the politics of all that here, but I’m pretty sure that the war will be at least mentioned in the episode.

It was also revealed that Jeremy, Richard and I think James also will be cycling around the area. I’m sure that Jeremy is very happy about that fact. Well, Jeremy and Richard did let slip a little bit of what we should expect from the upcoming special.

Clarkson and his Grand Tour colleague, Richard Hammond, were talking to a Radio 1 Slovenia journalist in a hotel. During the interview, Clarkson and Hammond revealed that they had travelled 2,000km through Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary, and were now going through Slovenia. Here’s what Clarkson had to say about the upcoming Grand Tour special:

Well, this is, it is actually the finish point for a long – about a 2,200 kilometre drive from Gdansk at the top of Poland. All the way down to Krakow, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, and then here.

Clarkson was then asked what he thought of Slovenia, and he admitted that he thought it was “very pretty”. Here’s what he had to say about travelling through Hungary and Slovenia:

Well, we came in through the mountains from Hungary, so it’s just straight away very pretty. And then it stays very pretty to here. So it’s just very pretty.

When will the next special be released on Amazon Prime Video?

We can officially reveal that there will be another special episode of the motoring show. Yep. There will be another episode in which Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond are all being complete morons on vehicles. However, this next episode might be quite different to the ones we’ve seen before. It’s been revealed to us that Clarkson and Hammond will be on bikes in this upcoming episode, and we all know how much Clarkson hates bikes!

We actually don’t know precisely when the upcoming special will be released. However, we might have some information to share with you on that front. During a recent interview, the interviewer asked Jeremy when the next The Grand Tour special would be released on Amazon Prime Video. Jeremy – who looked a little bit tired – revealed that it would be released in “a very long time”. However, he then said that it would be out on the streaming platform in about six months. Clarkson said:

A very long time. Is it six months, perhaps? Six months.

So, this means that this upcoming Grand Tour special might be released in December, towards the end of this year. However, it could very easily be pushed into early 2023.

Another question I’m sure many of you will have is whether they’ll be more episodes of the show after this upcoming Poland/Czech Republic/Slovakia/Hungary special. Well, we have good news for you on that front. Yes, there will be. Richards Hammons revealed during an interview with ITV’s programme, This Morning (via Grand Tour Nation), that they are planning future episodes of the series with the show’s producer. Here’s what he had to say on the matter:

Yeah, they take a lot of planning, as you can imagine, you know TV. There’s so much planning involved, building one of those shows just… I mean there’s a lot of us in the show.

Then one of This Morning’s presenters, Phillip Scofield, asked Hammond: “Where do you want to go, what do you want to do?” However, Richard didn’t want to give too much away. He simply said:

I don’t know. We actually have a meeting next week. We’re often asked ‘Do you all see each other between shows?’ Well yes because we finish one of the shows, then it’s got to be edited. And Andy Wilman, that you both know is a genius, puts the thing together, but we’re all involved in seeing that through various stages. Then by the time we finish that, we’re starting to plan the next one.

So, the good news is that they are planning future episodes of the series, so we should get to see quite a lot more of the trio acting like idiots and being silly with and in vehicles. That’s very good news, at least, I think it is because I love this show!
