Will The Flash Season 7 See Barry And Iris Get Divorced?

There are rumours that The Flash Season 7 might see Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Iris West-Allen (Candice Patton) get divorced.

The Flash’s showrunner, Eric Wallace has now opened up about the possibility of that happening in the upcoming season.

It’s been a pretty tough time for Barry and Iris’ marriage of late in The CW’s show.

The series has now been delayed due to the Coronavirus pandemic, but before the delay, Iris found herself trapped inside the Mirror Universe.

She’s been replaced by an evil doppelgänger of herself for weeks now, and it’s created a strain on Barry and Iris’ relationship.

Fans are now worried that Barry and Iris might end up getting divorced because of the Mirror-Iris’ antics.

Somebody recently put the question to one of the show’s producers.

“Barry and Iris are, indeed, about to experience the rockiest month of their marriage so far,” showrunner Eric Wallace told TVLine.

He continued: “Where it ends and what happens as a result? Sorry, no spoilers here!”

The idea of the pair getting divorced does seem a tad extreme, however, Wallace didn’t take the time to deny the rumour.

Superheroes in DC Comics have had on-and-off-again relationships and have ended up getting divorced from their partners.

It’s not an easy thing to be married to a superhero and it often ends up being a strain on a relationship.

Barry and Iris have been very strong together over the years on The CW show.

However, this whole Mirror storyline could end up breaking them up.

The Flash Season 6 will be returning to The CW on Tuesday, April 21st at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
