The CW Has Announced Javicia Leslie Will Be Replacing Ruby Rose As Their New Batwoman

It’s been revealed by The CW that Javicia Leslie will be replacing Ruby Rose as the new Batwoman on Season 2 of the DC Comics TV show.

Who will replace Ruby Rose as Batwoman in Season 2 of the show?

This was a pretty tough question to answer because there were a whole host of avenues they could go down.

I was pretty behind the idea of seeing Stephanie Beatriz play the role.

However, it’s been announced via Deadline that Javicia Leslie has been cast as the new Batwoman.

This comes after Rose abrupted exited the show after just one season, yet it looks like The CW has found someone who’ll be very much invested in the role moving forward.

That is hugely important for the longevity of the show, and she’s also a very good actor.

You might know Leslie from the CBS comedy TV show God Friended Me.

She’s been in some other episodes of TV shows and movies, yet Batwoman is going to be her first major leading role.

“I am extremely proud to be the first Black actress to play the iconic role of Batwoman on television, and as a bisexual woman, I am honored to join this groundbreaking show which has been such a trailblazer for the LGBTQ+ community,” Leslie said in a statement.

Leslie will be playing a new character in the title role who will be taking over the mantle of Batwoman from Kate Kane.

Her character will be called Ryan Wilder and she’s been described as a likeable, messy, a little goofy and untamed individual.

She’ll be nothing like Kate Kane who wore the Batsuit before her.
