It’s being reported that The Boys Season 5 has already started filming, which is very interesting news since it still hasn’t been officially announced by Amazon Prime Video. This news comes to us via Production List, which has listed The Boys Season 5, and it claims that it’s already filming in Ontario over in Canada.
We do know that The Boys Season 4 is already in production, and it should be released later this year. However, we hadn’t heard anything about the show’s fifth season, That said, it wouldn’t shock me to find out that Amazon is very interested in getting the fifth season made as quickly as possible.

One of the big issues with The Boys has been the rather long gaps between seasons. I think that Amazon might want to make sure that the following season is released as soon after season 4 as it can be. We’re going to have to wait and see when Amazon finally decides to officially confirm that the fifth season is happening and is currently filming in Canada.
As far as season 4 is concerned, it’s already been revealed that Simon Pegg will be reprising his role as Hughie’s father. He’ll be joined by some new additions to the cast. We’re going to get to Rosemarie Dewitt as Hughie’s mother and Rob Benedict and Elliot Knight in undisclosed roles. It was also revealed that Jeffrey Dean Morgan had joined the show’s ensemble as a mysterious character named Joe Kessler. It’s rumoured that this character will have significant ties to Billy Butcher.
