We are just a handful of days from the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home and we can’t wait to see the classic Spidey villains on show! You wouldn’t think such a massive blockbuster needs much promotion, but the social media team for the film have a few tricks up their sleeve.

The film has teased the return of the classic villains with a Tik Tok video, featuring Betty Brant (Angourie Rice).

No Way Home is set to feature the return of among others, Jamie Foxx’s Electro, and the Sandman. In the video, Daily Bugle intern Betty Brant observes that there has been some unusual weather-related activity.

Lightning and sandstorms have been seen in New York City. Betty explains that she thinks there’s more to this, and that supervillains could be making a return.

This is quickly retracted, and we hear the faint voice of an angry J. Jonah Jameson (J.K. Simmons) (So, no change there then!) Betty then explains to a surely bemused audience that these are in fact the work of a “spider-menace” and not super-villains.

Well, while we haven’t seen the film yet, we’re pretty sure that this is not the work of a “Spider-Menace.” Yet, you have to give props to the marketing team for the innovative way they are promoting the film.

No Way Home swings into UK cinemas on December 15, before arriving in US theatres on December 17.
