Snowpiercer TV Show Set To Premiere Two Weeks Early

It’s been revealed that TNT’s upcoming Snowpiercer TV show is going to be airing two weeks early which is unusual news to hear during lockdown.

This new Snowpiercer TV show was originally supposed to premiere on May 31st on TNT.

However, it’s now been revealed that the show will air on May 17th at 9pm ET/PT.

The upcoming Snowpiercer TV show is based on a 1982 French graphic novel called Le Transperceneige.

There was also a 2014 film adaptation of the comic book and it was directed Bong Joon-ho.

The story is set “more than seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland Snowpiercer centres on the remnants of humanity, who inhabit a 1001 car, perpetually-moving train that circles the globe.

“Class warfare, social injustice and the politics of survival play out in this riveting television adaptation based on the acclaimed movie and graphic novel series of the same name.”

Brett Weitz, general manager for TNT, TBS and truTV said in a statement (via Geek Tyrant): “Snowpiercer is one of the most anticipated original series of 2020 and in this climate, viewers are craving thrilling, engaging, edge-of-your-seat content that speaks to them on a deeper level.

“It is extremely important that we continue with our promise to meet audiences where they are, and to that effect, we are moving up Snowpiercer’s premiere so that fans can enjoy this futuristic series even earlier.”
