Robert Pattinson’s Batman Will Be Like Sherlock Holmes

So, The Batman is coming and Matt Reeves is currently prepping the film which should start shooting very soon, and we’ve now got news that the Robert Pattinson-lead movie might play out a bit like a Sherlock Holmes story.

According to Thomas Polito, who’s the Senior Editor of Geeks WorldWide, the upcoming Batman movie starring Robert Pattinson will play out like a Sherlock Holmes story.

He also revealed via Twitter that Matt Reeves wants the movie to be a bit like the animated Batman series, which I think is great news.

Here’s what Polito said on Twitter: “Small The Batman update: I hear the movie is gonna play out very much like a Sherlock Holmes story with Catwoman as Batman’s Irene Adler & Riddler as his Moriarty.

He continued: “Reeves is also building a world similar to the animated shows & comics where all the villains are already out there.”

This would certainly be an interesting and rather unique way to take Batman since it’ll be the first time we’ll really get to see the Detective side of Batman.

I also love the idea of a Irene Alder-esque Catwoman and Riddler as Batman’s Moriarty. It really makes sense and there are clear comparisons you can draw between Batman and Sherlock Holmes.

Moreover, with a cast as good as The Batman, Matt Reeves definitely has the acting talent to pull off something like this.

There’s also the possibility that Paul Dano’s Riddler could end up becoming one of the very best on-screen villains we’ve ever seen.

The Riddler’s always been a bit of a B-list villain in the movies. He was basically played for laughs by Jim Carrey in Batman Forever.

He deserves his time in the spotlight, and Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman is also perfect casting.
