Yep. We’ve done it, people. We’ve gone ahead and managed to get #ReleaseTheAyerCut trending on Twitter and it doesn’t look like it’s slowing down!

Today was the day when the Ayer Cut fandom decided to get together and get Warner Bros. Pictures to listen to them.

There was a huge push to get #ReleaseTheAyerCut trending on Twitter.

It’s now at 225K mentions on Twitter and that number just keeps on growing, which is great news.

This all comes after David Ayer’s Suicide Squad film was released in 2016.

Turns out that the movie that was released was not the film that Ayer had wanted to make.

David Ayer recently revealed that he would stop talking about the Ayer Cut in public.

He revealed this bit of news on Twitter via a very emotional and heartfelt letter.

In the letter, he also praised James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad movie.

Gunn then went on to share the love with his fellow filmmakers.

However, in that letter, Ayer also revealed how difficult it was to see the studio butcher his movie.

It made for a very eye-opening and disheartening read.

He even spoke of having to go back to his family every night during the edit and they could see the disappointment in him.

That made for very hard reading.

So, let’s force Warner Bros. Pictures’ hand and make them release the Ayer cut on HBO Max (at least!)!
