Reacher Season 3 Potential Release Date, Cast, Plot & Everything We Know So Far

Reacher Season 1 recently landed on Amazon Prime Video and took the streaming service by storm, but what about Reacher Season 2 and Reacher Season 3? Do they have release dates? Are they even in the works? Well, we’ve got some answers for you, but I will warn you that not all of the answers you’re probably looking for are out there at the moment. I will also say that this article will focus specifically on Season 3.

We’ve covered Reacher Season 2 in a previous article, which you should go and check out if you’re interested in knowing a little bit more about what’s going on with the show’s second season.

So, the first question we can answer for you is whether a Season 3 of Reacher is in the works for Prime Video. The answer is yes, it is. We actually revealed that Amazon is already working on Season 3 a few days ago. This came after Amazon revealed that Season 2 was already in the works.

What we’ve been told is that they’re going to film Seasons 2 and 3 back to back. They see this show as one of their big hitters, and they want to make as many seasons as they can. In other words, they’re going to try and milk Reacher for all he’s worth.

The show is based on Lee Child’s books, and he’s written 26 of them in total (as of writing this article). It seems as though Child loves nothing more than writing Reacher book after Reacher book. He’s like a machine, and it’s amazing that all the books are as good as they are!

OK, so, what about a release date for Season 3? Well, there isn’t one at the moment. There isn’t a release date for Reacher Season 2 yet, but we would estimate that the second season should be released towards the beginning of 2023. With this in mind, then we would be pretty certain that Season 3 would be released in either late 2023 or early 2024.

It all depends on how long they take in production. However, Amazon has shown that they have a very quick turnaround on their TV shows. They seem to be pumping them out even quicker than Netflix these days, and that’s saying something.

Who could star in Season 3?

The only actor who would be a dead certainty for Season 3 would be Alan Ritchson, who plays the show’s lead character, Jack Reacher. In the books, there are some recurring characters, but Reacher is the only constant. Therefore, there’s no real way of knowing who else might be joining Ritchson in a third season.

Now, we were informed that Reacher Season 2 would be taking on Child’s second book, Die Trying. So, if Amazon is to follow the books, then the third season could take on the third book Child wrote, which is called Tripwire. However, that’s not for certain yet. I wouldn’t be surprised if they decide to combine some of the books into one season. It was revealed not too long ago that the second season is going to adapt Bad Luck And Trouble.

It’ll be very interesting to see which direction they decide to take with the future seasons of this epic new Amazon show. As soon as we hear anything else about Season 3, we will update this article. But, for now, information is rather scarce.
