Call all Reacher fans! We’ve got some news for you about Reacher Season 2’s plot, and it’s pretty exciting if you’ve been a fan of the Lee Child books.
We already revealed in a previous article that Reacher Season 2 will be taking Child’s second Reacher book, Die Trying.
We still don’t have an official release date for the second season, but I would expect it to be released sometime in 2023 – more on that later.
Reacher Season 2’s plot will take on elements of Die Trying
But that’s enough of that. Let’s get into some plot details about Reacher Season 2.
We did also go over all of this in a YouTube video, so if you’re not really into reading, then you can go and check that incredible video out now.
Before we get into the meat of this article, we’ve been hearing rumours that they are already scouting locations for seasons 2 and 3.
It’s also being rumoured that Amazon Studios is looking to film seasons 2 and 3 back to back!
Right, we were informed that Reacher Season 2 is going to take on story elements from Die Trying.
Interestingly enough, Alan Richton revealed to CinemaBlend in an interview that he would love to adapt Die Trying, saying:
I would want to go to Die Trying. I would just keep going in order. As I read, I read them all sequentially, although they bounce back and forth in time, as far as the story is concerned. Each book got better than the last. I loved Die Trying, and I’d love to see that one made some day.
Reacher Season 2 should be released in 2023 – that’s not official though
Executive producer and writer of the Reacher books, Lee Child, revealed that he’s a huge fan of the first season, and he also had a great cameo in the show’s finale!
So, with Child’s involvement in the show in mind, it does look like they’re going to be taking a lot of cues from his book, Die Trying.
Here’s what our source had to tell us about Reacher Season 2:
Well, there are 25 more books, so we would love to turn all the books into seasons. But, yeah, Season 2 will take on Die Trying. It’ll be a bit of a mix of stuff, but mainly Die Trying.
Will there be more seasons of Reacher?

It seems as though it’ll be a mix of things, but “mainly” Die Trying.
This means that the second season of the show should see Ritchson’s Reacher end up getting himself kidnapped by three men.
Reacher starts off in Chicago and he’s lending a helping hand to an injured woman who’s struggling with her dry cleaning.
However, they both end up getting kidnapped in broad daylight and carted off to a mountain camp run by a militia, and that’s when Reacher really gets to strut his stuff.
Oh yeah, the woman Reacher’s kidnapped with just so happens to be an FBI agent and the granddaughter of a former US President and her father’s also pretty high up in the government.
So, it sounds as though there will be many thrills in season 2 as well as some more tender scenes between Reacher and his fellow kidnappee.
I cannot wait to see all of this unfold on the screen when Season 2 is finally released on Prime Video!
