The film’s producers, John Davis and John Fox, revealed that the film will be an origin story on the Predator’s first visit to Earth.

They also revealed the new film’s title: Skull.

When discussing the film’s plot they said:

It goes back to what made the original Predator movie work. It’s the ingenuity of a human being who won’t give up, who’s able to observe and interpret, basically being able to beat a stronger, more powerful, well-armed force.

Elaborating further details about the film, Fox said:

“It actually has more akin to The Revenant than it does any film in the Predator canon. You’ll know what I mean once you see it.

While very little is known about who will be starring in the film, or a release date, it’s been confirmed that Dan Trachtenberg, the director of 10 Cloverfield Lane, will be in the director’s chair.
