Percy Jackson Series Getting A Similar Budget To WandaVision On Disney Plus

It’s been revealed that the upcoming Percy Jackson series on Disney Plus will have a similar budget to WandaVision and The Mandalorian.

This news was revealed by Rick Riordan.

It was revealed a while back that Disney was making a Percy Jackson series which would be released on their streaming service.

Since then, movement on the show has been rather slow, yet they did reveal that the scripts for the first season were basically done.

It seems as though Disney is pretty confident in the show now and they’re planning on making it for the same money they made WandaVision and The Mandalorian.

It had been revealed that Lucasfilm and Disney made The Mandalorian Season 2 for roughly $15 million per episode.

Since then, it’s been reported that WandaVision was made for about $25 million per episode.

Now, those numbers aren’t official, yet they seem to be a pretty accurate estimate, and it sounds like Percy Jackson will be made for around about the same money.

Here’s what Rick Riordian wrote on his official website about the upcoming Percy Jackson series’ budget:

What will the budget look like? (Hint: Good TV ain’t cheap. Quality-wise, this has to stand toe-to-toe with Disney+ hits like Wandavision and Mandalorian.)
