The New Planet Of The Apes Film Might Reboot The Franchise

It’s being reported that the new Planet of the Apes film might end up being a reboot of the franchise which I think would be a terrible idea.

This recent report comes from Discussing Film, which means it could very well be true.

They don’t tend to report on things unless they have are positive their sources are indeed correct.

There’s been a lot of talk about the upcoming Planet of the Apes movie, and I really don’t like the sound of what’s going on.

There have been reports that Disney doesn’t really know what to do with the franchise.

Ever since Disney bought Fox and acquired all the rights to their movie franchises, the Planet of the Apes movie series has been on the rocks.

I’ve loved the recent Planet of the Apes trilogy. I really thought the last two films especially were brilliant.

They were both directed by Matt Reeves and he showed what he could do with a big tentpole movie.

However, the films didn’t make as much money as Fox had hoped it would.

Should Disney reboot the Planet of the Apes franchise?

War For The Planet of the Apes ended up making less than predicted and that hit the studio rather badly.

That said, the movie was really well received by critics, yet that doesn’t count for much any more.

It seems like they’re been a trend of really good blockbusters performing well with critics but not at the box office.

There was Blade Runner 2049, which I loved but didn’t really make enough money for Warner Bros. Pictures.

Then there’s been Birds of Prey, which I loved but hasn’t been performing as well as people expected it to.

War For The Planet of the Apes was another one of those types of movies, and that might be why Disney is looking to reboot the franchise.

There’s also the fact that it ended Caesar’s story quite nicely.

However, what I think they should do is leave the franchise alone for a while until they get a really good pitch.

Wes Ball will write and direct the new Planet of the Apes reboot with David Starke and Joe Hartwick Jr set to produce the film.
