It’s being rumoured that Netflix is looking into developing an Elder Scrolls TV show for their streaming service which could rival The Witcher. This rumour comes from Daniel Richtman’s Patreon page.

The Elder Scrolls video game franchise comes from Bethesda Softworks and it’s really, really popular. Full disclosure, I haven’t played any of the Elder Scrolls games, but I know a lot of people who have done, and they love them.

The most famous of the Elder Scrolls games might be Skyrim, which did really well when it came out back in 2011. Since then, the video game franchise has developed spinoff games such as the MMO The Elder Scrolls Online and mobile title The Elder Scrolls: Blades.

There’s now a new rumour which comes from serial scoopster Daniel Richtman who’s claiming that Netflix is working on a show based on The Elder Scrolls, and he also added that it’ll be as big as The Witcher.

That said, it’s a bit odd to think that Bethesda Softworks might be working with Netflix on this Elder Scrolls TV show given the fact that they’re already developing a Fallout TV show with Amazon Prime Video. Amazon is Netflix’s main competitor and I would be surprised if they would be OK Netflix making an Elder Scrolls TV show.
