Morbius Star Says The Movie Is Part Of The MCU

Now, this bit of news shouldn’t be as surprising as some have made it out to be. Morbius’ star Tyrese Gibson has revealed that the film is ‘technically’ part of the MCU.

That said, I think the film’s trailer kind of revealed that to be the case.

Morbius’ trailer revealed that Michael Keaton’s Vulture was going to be in the movie.

I personally thought that was all the confirmation we needed.

However, it seems as though people still weren’t 100% sure whether the Jared Leto-led movie was going to actually be part of the larger MCU.

So, when Gibson was asked during an interview with ComicBook.com whether the film was part of the MCU, his answer was the confirmation those people needed.

Gibson, who plays FBI agent Simon Stroud in the superhero-horror flick, was talking to ComicBook.com about the film, and he was asked whether Morbius is “part of the MCU, in the Avengers’ world.”

The actor tried to give away as little as possible, however, he did end up saying “yes”, which is a bit of a giveaway if you ask me.

but he also didn’t hesitate in giving his brief but illuminating answer. “Yes,” was how he replied.

It’ll be interesting to see how connected these Sony Pictures Spidey-adjacent movies will be to the MCU.

I’m thinking that they won’t be overly connected, but more loosely tied to the MCU.

That’s fine by me, however, I know many fans are desperate to see the likes of Venom and Morbius in the main MCU movies.
