It’s being reported that Mission: Impossible 8 could end being the final movie in what has been an incredible action movie franchise.

This was teased in a recent article over on Variety.

The article suggested that Mission: Impossible 7 is going to end on something of a cliffhanger.

It was recently revealed that Tom Cruise wants production on the eighth chapter to be completed before the seventh releases.

This means that there would be a pretty seamless transition between the two movies.

They also wouldn’t have to bring the cast and crew back together again to do more reshoots.

One of the main reasons why Mission: Impossible 8 could be the franchise’s final movie is because Cruise will be very close to turning 62 when the movie will be released in cinemas in 2024.

It’s not like the man can do these action movies forever.

There’s also the fact that he insists on performing his own stunts, and trying to insure a 61-year old man will not be cheap.

It’s already been revealed that Cruise’s insurance is through the roof, and it’ll only get more and more expensive.

This all means that the eighth Mission: Impossible movie could feature Ethan Hunt finally getting to retire from the IMF.
