JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 3 – PARABELLUM’S director, Chad Stahelski, has suggested that John Wick 4 could happen but admitted that it would be very difficult to make.
John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum will hit cinemas across the globe this weekend, and fans have been excited to go to the theatres to see Keanu Reeves’ retired assassin strut his stuff in the third film in the John Wick franchise.
It had been initially believed that there was only going to be three films, yet there’s now talk of a fourth after Keanu said that he’ll take the franchise, “As far as my legs can take me. As far as the audience wants to go.”
It seems as though the audience doesn’t want Wick to stop since the film’s all set to perform well at the box office.
People just love to watch Keanu kick other assassins’ butts as the titular John Wick.
So, it sounds as if a fourth movie is on the cards, and the film’s director, Chad Stahelski, recently opened up about it during a recent “Ask Me Anything” Q&A on Reddit.
He reiterated that John Wick 4 would only happen if people go to see Chapter 3, but he also added that it would be a much harder film to make.
Here’s what he had to say about it below:
“1 was difficult because we didn’t understand what we wanted to do, quite. Number 2, we had to map up a whole world we didn’t think of before. 3, how do we expand and get the audience something creative, not just bigger and cooler. Number 4, I’m certain, will be more difficult.”

These films keep on getting bigger and bigger, not unlike the Fast & Furious franchise, and there’s only so much bigger they can make them.
It’s understandable to think why Chad is slightly worried about what they’d have to do should a fourth movie get the green light.
And, with it looking more and more likely that John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum will succeed at the box office, then Lionsgate will probably order a fourth film and they’ll have to work it out.
John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum hits UK theatres today.
