Joe Manganiello Reveals Ben Affleck’s The Batman Movie Was Going To Be Really Dark

It’s been revealed by actor Joe Manganiello that the Ben Affleck The Batman movie was going to be really dark. He revealed this during an interview with Yahoo! Entertainment.

Reading what he had to say about the film just makes us really sad because it looks like we’re never going to see Ben Affleck’s The Batman movie. Manganiello revealed that Ben Affleck’s Batman movie was heavily inspired by David Fincher’s The Game, and it was going to feature Deathstroke as its main villain.

Reading what Manganiello has to say about the movie just makes me desperate to see it. Yet, it seems like it’s never going to happen, which is super sad. However, we are getting Matt Reeves’ The Batman movie, which also sounds very cool.

Here’s what Joe Manganiello had to say about Ben Affleck’s The Batman movie during his interview with Yahoo! Entertainment:

It was a really dark story in which Deathstroke was like a shark or a horror movie villain that was dismantling Bruce’s life from the inside out. It was this systemic thing, he killed everyone close to Bruce and destroyed his life to try and make him suffer because he felt that Bruce was responsible for something that happened to him. It was really cool, really dark, and really hard. I was very excited for it.
