Jerry Bruckheimer Is Reportedly Still Trying To Get Johnny Depp Back Into The Pirates Of The Caribbean Franchise
It’s being rumoured that Jerry Bruckheimer is still trying to get Johnny Depp back into the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. This rumour comes to us from serial scoopster, Daniel Richtman. He posted this ‘scoop’ on his Patreon page.
A number of people have been saying this might be happening behind the scenes. Jerry Bruckheimer and Johnny Depp are pretty good friends. There’s also the fact that without Johnny Depp, the Pirates franchise wouldn’t have been as successful and made Disney and Jerry so much money.
It’s pretty well documented that Disney was not a fan of Johnny Depp’s take on Captain Jack Sparrow. However, audiences loved it, and they’ve since made a bunch of other movies in this franchise and a bucket load of cash.

So, it was a bit of a shock when it was revealed that Disney was going ahead with some new Pirates of the Caribbean movies without Johnny Depp being involved. It was revealed that there was an all-female lead Pirates of the Caribbean movie starring Margot Robbie.
There’s also a sort of prequel Pirates movie rumoured to be in the works. It’s also been rumoured that this film could star Zac Efron in the lead role. So, what’s going on with Johnny Depp’s Captain Jack Sparrow? Well, according to Daniel Richtman Jerry Bruckheimer is still trying to convince Disney to let him make a new Pirates movie with Johnny Depp in it.
