It seems like there’s a possibility of seeing more of Idris Elba’s Bloodsport in the future of the DCEU, at least, James Gunn says there is.

James Gunn revealed via Twitter and I must say that he did say that a Bloodsport spinoff series isn’t in the works.

He came out and revealed this after there were reports that a Bloodsport spinoff was ‘in the works’.

Gunn revealed that those reports were untrue, however, he did say that there’s a “possibility” of seeing Bloodsport in the future.

Here’s what Gunn had to say on the matter:

There is a possibility of seeing more #Bloodsport in the near future – something I’d love to see! – but there is nothing currently in development. So this story is false.

More of Idris Elba as Bloodsport could be coming to the DCEU

Idris Elba was truly brilliant as Bloodsport in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad.

There were some rumours when Elba was cast in the movie that he was replacing Will Smith.

Smith played Deadshot in David Ayer’s 2016 Suicide Squad movie.

Now, it was quite clear at the beginning that Elba was not replacing Smith in The Suicide Squad.

However, people couldn’t seem to understand that fact.

Well, The Suicide Squad was released and Elba was basically the movie’s lead.

I would love to see more of him as Bloodsport and I hope it happens.
