We all love the big-screen classics, right?

While many of our readers would probably like nothing more than to spend most days sitting in the cinema watching the latest top releases, it is a simple fact that life can get in the way.

We have jobs to do and other activities that require our attention – and not all of it is a huge amount of fun. As such, sometimes a little bit of motivation and inspiration is needed if we are going to make the most of things. Fortunately, our beloved pastime of watching movies might be able to help in this regard.

People tend to seek inspiration in a wide range of places these days. For instance, social media is a big part of modern life, so it makes sense that some individuals might look there. Happier features a list of suggested Instagram accounts for inspiration and it references the likes of Elizabeth Gilbert, Humans of New York and Deepak Chopra.

Alternatively, some people might seek out wise words from books and Stylist features a few uplifting lines from a range of different places. Some are even rather surprising, with the list including a quote from Bram Stoker’s iconic horror novel Dracula.

Of course, if you are seeking a bit of inspiration and motivation, there is always the option of looking at movies. Many big screen blockbusters feature inspiring moments and this page on motivational movies includes an entire list of films – including a few that you might not have expected.

Movie Magic And Big-Screen Classics

The article begins its list with – of course – The Shawshank Redemption. It then goes on to mention some other classics that simply had to be referenced. For example, Rocky is included, while there is also room for Billy Elliot and the Christmas classic It’s A Wonderful Life.

However, the motivational movies list also features a couple of film selections that might be surprising to some. For instance, the mayhem and madness of Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street makes the cut. The site justifies it by stating that it highlights “the true meaning of success”.

In addition, the list features inspirational quotes from each of the films included. The line from Slumdog Millionaire is “the scar is proof of a healed wound”. It also features this quote from 50/50: “You can’t change your situation. The only thing that you can change is how you choose to deal with it.”
