Fans Think Sherlock Holmes Will Appear In Lupin Season 2

There’s a new theory making the rounds on the Internet that Sherlocks Holmes will appear in Lupin Season 2 on Netflix. It’s something that I would love to see, but I’m not so sure it’ll happen.

It was revealed that Lupin Season 2 became one of Netflix’s biggest ever hits after having been viewed by 70 million households in its first 28 days. The French series is now Netflix’s third most-streamed show on the platform.

The show stars Omar Sy as Assane Diop, who takes on the mantle of Arsène Lupin, the gentleman burglar, and that character was written by French author, Maurice LeBlanc. In one of the Lupin books, the burglar meets the famous British detective, Sherlock Holmes. Fans now think that Holmes will be making some sort of appearance in Lupin Season 2.

Here’s what Screen Rant said about this new Lupin fan theory:

Leblanc first included Sherlock Holmes in the short story “Sherlock Holmes Arrives Too Late,” which was published in 1906. After Sir Arthur Conan Doyle objected to Leblanc’s usage of the character, Leblanc changed the name slightly. Herlock Sholmes appeared in two more stories and the name was changed once again to Holmlock Shears in 1910. Since Leblanc introduced the character into Lupin’s universe, it’s plausible that Lupin: Part 2 could include the character.
