We already know that Black Panther 2 will be coming out in May 2022 and that Ryan Coogler is coming back to direct and Chadwick Boseman is returning as T’Challa. However, apart from that, not much is known about the sequel to Black Panther.
That said, we may have just had news that Anthony Mackie’s The Falcon and Sebastian Stan’s The Winter Soldier could feature in the movie.
We already know that the pair will be starring in their own Disney Plus series, so their inclusion in Black Panter 2 means the series could serve as a preamble to Ryan Coogler’s film.
This news comes from one of We Got This Covered’s sources, so make of it what you will. That said, they have proven to be right on occasion, and this rumour seems to make sense to me.
Sebastian Stan did feature very briefly in the first Black Panther movie and he seems to have an affiliation to Wakanda since they basically nursed him back to health.
Sam, Bucky and T’Challa all in Black Panther 2? Sounds good to me
Personally, I think that it would be great to see the three of them work together in order to defeat some seemingly invincible foe, and they’ve had good chemistry together on-screen before.
The combination of Boseman, Mackie and Stan on-screen would also be a huge pull for audiences and people would show up just on the strength of those three alone.
Add to this how well the first Black Panther movie and the fact that The Falcon and the Winter Soldier series may lead directly into the movie, then you’ve got a real winner on your hands.
Bear in mind that these are still rumours at this stage and nothing’s been confirmed. Yet, it’s a rumour which really makes sense to me, and I believe that Kevin Feige is looking to have the Disney Plus series and the MCU movies be more aligned moving forward.
