Ezra Miller Confirms The Flash Movie Is Still Happening

What on Earth is going on with Ezra Miller’s The Flash movie? That’s a question that a lot of us DCEU fans have been asking ourselves for quite some time now.

The film has been going through director after director. The current director attached to direct the picture is It and It: Chapter 2’s director, Andy Muschietti.

I think he’s an excellent choice to direct, but then again, The Flash movie has had some terrific directors attached to direct and they’ve all left the project.

The likes of Seth Grahame-Smith and directing duo John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein were all attached to make this Flash movie at one point or another.

However, they’ve now settled on Muschietti, and Ezra Miller recently revealed that the movie is most definitely going ahead over at Warner Bros. Pictures.

Here’s what he had to say about his upcoming projects (via Cosmic Book News):

“Well, I’ll tell you the ones that I can tell you about because they’re absolutely confirmed are Fantastic Beasts 3The Flash movie, I’m making more music with ‘Sons of an Illustrious Father’ – the band I’m in – and I’m also making some music on my own which will be sort of a new project, a solo project.”

However, there’s still no release date for The Flash, and Miller will have to film Fantastic Beasts 3 first.

Meanwhile, Muschietti recently opened up about The Flash movie, and revealed that it wouldn’t be a horror film, much to my disappointment.

“An element of horror? I don’t think so,” Muschietti said about The Flash being similar to his horror films.

“What captivated me about The Flash is the human drama in it. The human feelings and emotions that play in the drama [of it]. It’s going to be fun, too. I can’t promise that there will be any horror [elements in it], really, but it’s a beautiful human story,” he finished.
