EXCLUSIVE: WB Looking For A Timothée Chalamet-Type To Play Terry McGinnis In HBO Max’s Batman Beyond Series

It’s been revealed to us by inside sources that Warner Bros. Pictures is looking for a Timothée Chalamet-type to play Terry McGinnis in HBO Max’s Batman Beyond series. Now, this does not mean that Timothée Chalamet is up for the role (although I’m pretty sure Warner Bros. would love him to play the role).

However, what it does mean is that the studio and HBO Max wants to find an actor who’s a bit like him. Chalamet is becoming one of the most in-demand actors in Hollywood at the moment, and he would be an excellent choice for the role.

According to my sources, Warner Bros. and HBO Max are keen to find someone similar. They’re looking for someone the same age, build, height and also with similar acting styles as Timothée Chalamet.

Here’s what one of our sources told us about casting for the Terry McGinnis role in HBO Max’s Batman Beyond series:

Warner Bros. Pictures and HBO Max is on the search for an actor a bit like Timothée Chalamet for the role of Terry McGinnis. This would be for Batman Beyond. They want some like him, but they’re not actively trying to cast Chalamet in the role.

There are a whole host of actors they could choose from for the role, but it sounds like the casting directors have a very certain type of look in mind. Hopefully, they won’t end up getting too caught up on this and can cast the best possible person for Terry McGinnis.

As it stands, Chalamet’s schedule is getting incredibly busy. He’s already working on the Dune movie with Denis Villeneuve. Chalamet’s then got the likes of The French Dispatch, Don’t Look Up and Find Me all either coming out or in production.

He’s quickly becoming one of Hollywood’s most in-demand actors, and you can see why. Chalamet is very talented, and I know many people would feel that he’d be a great choice for the role of Terry McGinnis in the Batman Beyond series.

As in many cases like this, it seems as though scheduling might end up getting in the way of bringing the actor to the project. He has stated in the past a love for Batman and even said that he’d be very interested in playing Robin one day.

As far as I’m concerned, I believe playing Terry McGinnis would actually be a bit more interesting for an actor because he is just another version of Batman and a very cool one at that.

We already reported that Michael Keaton had signed onto the project with HBO Max. Warner Bros. Pictures and HBO Max really wanted to ensure that Keaton was on-board for the project. As far as my sources are aware, the project wouldn’t have gone ahead without the actor.

That means that they can take their time casting Terry McGinnis – who’ll be the new Batman that Keaton’s Bruce Wayne mentors and helps from the comfort of his Batcave. Personally, I would love to see this series star both Keaton and Chalamet. With that said, I feel that the studio is being realistic as far as who they can get for the role.

Keep in mind that Chalamet already has a very close working relationship with Warner Bros. Pictures. They cast him as Paul Atreides in the Dune movies. Maybe they can convince him to join the Batman Beyond HBO Max show.
