Ewan McGregor Is Thrilled To Be Wearing His Jedi Robes Again In The Obi-Wan Kenobi Series

Ewan McGregor has revealed that he’s thrilled to be wearing his Jedi robes again in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series on Disney Plus.

I have been so excited to see this upcoming Kenobi series on Disney Plus.

I’ve been waiting for this for so long and then there was that moment as D23 last year.

I’m talking of the moment when Ewan McGregor came up on state with Kathleen Kennedy and reveal that he was playing Kenobi again.

It was just magical and since then, I’ve been eagerly awaiting this new show.

They’re going to start shooting it in March according to McGregor.

However, the Scottish actor revealed during a recent interview on the Happy Sad Confused podcast that he’s already been for costume fittings.

During this interview, he also revealed how giddy he was at seeing the Jedi robes again and getting to wear them.

Here’s what he said about it:

I walked into the dressing room. There were my beige cloaks and my belts and boots. It was my old costume. It was amazing.

Ewan McGregor then went on to reveal how he was convinced to join this Kenobi Disney Plus series:

I’m very excited. I really am very excited about it. We’ve been talking about doing the series for four, five, maybe more years. I’m excited about the fact that it’s a series as opposed to a movie. It gives us more space. And I’m mainly excited because of The Mandalorian series which I thought was really good. We’re gonna adopt some of that technology that they utilized in that filming. And I’m working with Deborah Chow who directed some of Mandalorian and I’m really excited about working with her.
