Elektra Will Return In The Upcoming MCU Daredevil Reboot
Mikey Sutton is reporting that his sources are telling him Elektra looks all set to make a comeback and she’ll now officially be part of the MCU.
The character was heavily involved in the Daredevil series over on Netflix, and she also had a movie of her own.
Jennifer Garner played the Marvel hero in the Elektra solo movie as well as the Ben Affleck Daredevil picture, and both films were pretty darn terrible.
However, it seems like the version we’ll be getting to see in the MCU will be the one from the Netflix shows, played by Élodie Yung.
That said, Mikey did say in his article that she might not be returning for the role, which I think would be a shame because I thought she was pretty good as Elektra.
Elektra is going to be coming to the MCU in the upcoming Daredevil reboot
Here’s what Mikey Sutton wrote on the matter:
Marvel Studios is definitely interested in bringing back Elektra. However, most likely she’ll be recast, probably for the reason stated above.
Both myself and Mikey have written on multiple occasions about this upcoming Daredevil project.
It does seem as though Marvel Studios is looking to bring it to their streaming service – possibly via Disney Plus STAR over here in Europe, and Hulu in the US.
However, it does seem as though plans are still fluctuating over at Marvel Studios regarding their upcoming TV projects.
We’ll have to wait and see what they decide to do with the character now that they have the rights back from Netflix.
I’m still being informed that Charlie Cox will be playing the role of Daredevil in the MCU and the idea is to bring him into other characters’ shows first and then give him his own standalone series at some point
