Dwayne Johnson teased that he’s working on a video game movie, and it’s now being reported that the film will be Call Of Duty.

During a recent interview with Men’s Journal, Dwayne Johnson revealed he’s set to star in yet another film adaptation of a popular video game franchise.

We’re going to bring one of the biggest, most badass games to the screen–one that I’ve played for years. I can’t tell you which game in particular we’re doing, but there will be an announcement this year. I’m really excited to bring it to fans around the world. Of course we’re going to do right by our gamer friends—but really we’re just going to make a great movie.

Now, Johnson has already starred in two pretty big video game movies in Doom and Rampage.

So, fans then took to Twitter to try and figure out which video game franchise Johnson might have been talking about.

There are a bunch of video games it could have been, however, Giant Freakin Robot reportedly have intel that it’s going to be a Call Of Duty movie.

It was reported back in 2015 that Activision was trying to make a Call Of Duty cinematic universe happen.

However, it was then revealed in 2020 that films were no longer a priority for Activision.

Cut to two years later, it was announced that Microsoft had purchased Activision Blizzard for £68 billion.

Activision Blizzard have been facing a lot of controversy in the recent years. I won’t go into all of them here.

It does seem as though Microsoft is looking into steadying the ship.

One of the ways they can do this is by rejuvenating the company’s properties.

A big Call Of Duty movie starring Dwayne Johnson would do pretty well at the box office, at least, I think it would.
