Dune Is Dominating In The International Box Office

Dune-Official-Second-Trailer

It’s been revealed that Dune is dominating the international box office, which I am just so happy about because this movie needs to do well.

This news comes to us from Deadline and I am so happy to hear this.

The movie came out quite a while before it’s coming out in the US and the UK over here in Europe.

That might have been due to the fact that the movie’s being released on HBO Max also in the US.

However, people internationally have been flocking to the cinemas to watch Denis Villenueve’s take on Frank Herbert’s Dune.

It’s been doing really well in most territories, which is just so good to hear.

Dune is doing very well at the international box office

Dune managed to bring in an additional $26 million which has brought the international total to $77 million.

Dune is currently tracking ahead of movies such as Tenet, Black Widow, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Godzilla Vs. Kong internationally, which is a very good sign.

Interestingly enough, the movie’s going to have to make over $400 million globally in order to just break even.

The film’s budget was over $165 million and $77 internationally is good, but no where near enough to help the movie make money.

Fingers crossed, the film will end up doing well in the US and other territories in which the film is yet to be released.

Godzilla Vs. Kong and Furious 9 are the only two Hollywood movies to have managed to make more than $400 million at the box office.

Much of that is due to the fact that the film did really well in China.

I’m not so sure that Dune will do too well over in China.
