There were rumours that Ryan Gosling might be cameoing in the upcoming season of Doctor Who, but showrunner, Russell T. Davies has addressed those rumours.

It was revealed not too long ago that the BBC had managed to get Russell T. Davies back to be the showrunner on the next season of Doctor Who.

The show’s been in a pretty bad state ever since Davies left, and the BBC have obviously realised that Davies is the only person they can really trust with this iconic series.

Davies and the BBC then cast Sex Education’s Ncuti Gatwa as the titular Doctor.

It was then rumoured that Ryan Gosling might be making a cameo in the next series.

However, during his appearance on The One Show, Davies shot those rumours down.

Here’s what Russell T. Davies have to say about Gosling starring in the next season of Doctor Who:

Let me tell you, Jermaine, you’re a beautiful man, but if Ryan Gosling was in ‘Doctor Who’, I wouldn’t be sitting here. I would be in Cardiff, me and Ryan, having a drink.

But, where did these rumours come from?

It all stemmed from an image of Ryan wearing a T-shirt on the set of the Barbie movie he’s filming.

The T-shirt had a picture of Ncuti as the Doctor.

However, people seemed to forget that Ryan and Ncuti are both filming the Barbie movie together and Ryan was obviously wearing the T-shirt to show support to his colleague.
