Community’s creator, Dan Harmon has opened up on whether the movie is ever going to happen or not, and it sounds like it’s in the pipeline.
The brilliant NBC comedy series Community has been talked about a lot recently.
It came to Netflix pretty recently, which means more people have been watching it either for the first time, or watching it again.
There’s also the fact that Joel McHale and Danni Pudi have both been discussing the possibilities of a Community movie happening.
We do have the upcoming reunion episode in which the cast will get together (possibly over Zoom) to read the episode titled “Cooperative Polygraphy”.
This is the fourth episode of Season 5.
Now creator Dan Harmon has opened up on his thoughts about maybe making the Community movie.
During his recent interview with The Wrap, he revealed that conversations are happening!
The Community movie is still in the pipeline
During an interview with The Wrap, he said:
I can tell people for sure that the enthusiasm for Community, both for all of this time and the resurgence of it there’s always an aspect of that affects the marketplace. And when the marketplace gets affected, conversations happen. And when conversations happen, things happen.”
I mean, when you’re part of the Community family, you learn never to raise expectations, keep ‘em nice and low and then be pleasantly surprised.
So I can say that there are conversations happening that people would want to be happening and that I’m very, very excited about the coming months.
