Christian Bale Is Playing Gorr The God Butcher In Thor: Love And Thunder

It was revealed by Kevin Feige at this evenings Disney Investor’s Call that Christian Bale is indeed playing the villain in the upcoming Thor: Love And Thunder movie. He also added that he will be playing Gorr The God Butcher in the film.

There was so much news to come out of this incredible presentation, yet Kevin Feige probably dropped the most mind-boggling news. He revealed that Gorr The God Butcher will be coming to the MCU and will be played by Christian Bale.

There was so much written about who he’ll play, but I’m not sure if anyone guessed that this would be the character they’ll be going for. I cannot wait to see what Bale does with the character.

Here’s a quote that Gorr The God Butcher says in one of the comics he turns up in:

My name is Gorr, son of a nameless father, outcast from a forgotten world. I have slain my way through multitudes to stand here at the genesis of all things, blackened by vengeance, wet with holy blood, one simple dream still strong in my heart… the dream of a godless age.

The character sounds a bit like Russell Crowe’s character in The Gladiator, only angrier, and he goes after Gods. He’s gone up against Thanos in some of the comics. He’s someone not to be messed with and I’m pretty sure he’ll want to kill Thor in Taikia Waititi’s movie, Thor: Love And Thunder.
