Bright 2 Script Almost Done – Will Smith To Return

It’s been revealed today that Bright 2’s script is getting very close to being complete and the movie will see Will Smith return.

This was revealed by Netflix’s Film Chief Scott Stuber in a recent interview with Variety.

This is pretty big news because for a long time not much was known about Bright 2.

We shared the news recently that things were moving on the Bright sequel, and now we’re hearing that the script is almost finished.

According to Variety, Will Smith and Joel Edgerton are set to return for the sequel.

This is pretty big news because for such a long time we knew close to nothing about the film.

According to IMDB, David Ayer, T.S. Nowlin and Evan Spiliotopoulos are all writing the film’s script together.

It’s not known yet whether Ayer will return to direct, but I really hope he does.

The problem with the first movie, as far as I’m concerned, wasn’t the directing.

The real problem was the writing.

The movie was penned by Max Landis who’s been literally dropped by everybody after some pretty serious allegations were made against him.

I won’t go into those here, but suffice to say Max Landis won’t be working in Hollywood for a while – if ever again.

You can read all about his despicable behaviour here.

As for Bright 2, it seems like Netflix is keen to get this film off the ground.

There have been a few directors attached to the movie over the years.

At one point, Ayer was going to make it, but then he left the project as director.

Fingers crossed Netflix decides to bring him back to helm this movie.

He deserves it, at least, I think he does.
