Avengers: Endgame Directors Would Love To Make An MCU Wolverine Film

It’s been revealed by Avengers: Endgame’s director, Joe Russo, that he and his brother would love to make an MCU Wolverine film. He revealed this during a recent interview on the podcast, Lights, Camera, Barstool.

There’s been talk about who will take on the role of Wolverine ever since Logan came out. Hugh Jackman revealed that Logan would be his last time playing the Marvel Comics superhero, and what a last movie to play him in!

Logan, I’ve said it many times, is my favourite comic book movie of all time. That will be a very hard movie to top, and Hugh Jackman will be virtually impossible to follow as Wolverine. However, someone’s going to have to do it as the character’s movie rights are now back with Marvel Studios. They’ve been thinking of how they can recast the role for years now, and it won’t be easy.

Here’s what Joe Russo had to say about wanting to make a Wolverine movie in the MCU:

I think the best thing is to take a break, without question. You need a [palate cleanser], you need to rinse the towel a little bit, let everyone enjoy what was, and then come up with something new. But I’d love to take a crack at Wolverine at some point.
