This is definitely one of my most anticipated films of 2020. John Krasinski’s follow up to 2018’s A Quiet Place, A Quiet Place Part 2, and the very first trailer has just landed.
The film stars Emily Blunt who’s back as Evelyn Abbott, and it seems as though the film picks up immediately after where the first film ended.
A Quiet Place was one of the biggest and most unexpected hits of 2018. Nobody really thought the John Krasinski lead and directed horror movie would do so well, but it ended up making Paramount Pictures a tidy profit and it wasn’t much of a surprise when they greenlight the sequel.
However, given the events in the first movie, it would mean that Krasinski’s Lee Abbott wouldn’t be returning.
This means that the film will follow Everlyn and her three kids, Marcus, Regan and the infant, as they try to stay alive in a world where if they make a single sound, they’ll be attacked by these horrific alien creatures.
There’s been a lot of talk about these creatures after the first film came out, and fans of the movie have been theorising on what they could be exactly.
A Quiet Place Part 2’s trailer is pretty darn scary
Some people have even suggested that they aren’t aliens at all and that they come from Earth.
Hopefully, A Quiet Place Part 2 will fill in some of the missing blanks as far as these new monsters are concerned.
Judging by A Quiet Place Part 2’s trailer, this film might be even more action-heavy than the first and will follow Everlyn as she and her children come into contact with other survivors.
However, it’s being suggested that the monsters with acute hearing aren’t the ones they should be fearing.
Maybe the human survivors are the real monsters of this upcoming horror sequel.
The film will star the likes of Noah Jupe, Millicent Simmonds, Djimon Hounsou, Lauren-Ashley Cristiano and Cillian Murphy.
