It’s been revealed that Bethesda Softworks is now working on a new Indiana Jones video game, which I cannot be more excited for! They announced this with a short video on Twitter and it’s got my pulse really racing.
This is a movie and video game franchise that I’ve loved for what seems like my entire life. I love the movies starting Harrison Ford – barring the Crystal Skull one, of course – and I also loved the video games from LucasArts.
It’s now been revealed that Bethesda is making a new one, which is news that literally almost blew my mind. There hasn’t been an Indiana Jones video game for years. That space was kind of occupied by the Uncharted games from Naughty Dog. However, it looks like we’re going to be getting a new Indy video game and I for one am excited.

Here’s what Bethesda Softworks had to say about the upcoming Indy game in a tweet they posted after revealing that little teaser trailer:
A new Indiana Jones game with an original story is in development from our studio, @MachineGames, and will be executive produced by Todd Howard, in collaboration with @LucasfilmGames. It’ll be some time before we have more to reveal, but we’re very excited to share today’s news!
I did see some rather nasty comments about this announcement in the comments, and I can’t really understand why people have to be like that. Bethesda got a lot of flack after releasing Fallout 76, however, that doesn’t mean they can’t make a good Indiana Jones game.
