A Bloodshot Sequel Is In The Works With Vin Diesel Returning

It’s been revealed that a sequel to this year’s Bloodshot is already in the works and Vin Diesel is expected to be returning for the film. This news comes from CBR.com, and they’re pretty confident their sources are correct.

Bloodshot could be classed as one of the first cinematic casualties of the global pandemic. The movie was all set to be released in cinemas, and then the pandemic caused everyone to go into lockdown.

However, the film was released on demand and it did OK all things considered. However, it didn’t get anywhere close to the amount of money the studio was hoping to make from it.

That said, the movie’s misfortune hasn’t prevented DMG Entertainment to already start work on a Bloodshot sequel, which is kind of crazy as far as I’m concerned. I made no secret of the fact that I didn’t think the film was all that good.

However, according to DMG Entertainment Creative Head and filmmaker Dan Mintz, the sequel is coming and it also seems as though Vin Diesel will be returning to play the lead role. The movie was based off a comic by Valiant Comics of the same name.

I truly love the comic book, and I felt that the movie did something of a disservice to the original comic. However, I do like Vin Diesel in the lead role, even if he’s a bit, well, wooden at times. That’s just his acting style these days.
