Warner Bros. Casts Its New Batgirl For Its HBO Max Film

It’s been revealed that Warner Bros. Pictures has cast its Barbara Gordon for their upcoming Batgirl film which will be released on HBO Max.

The actor in question that Warner Bros. is said to have cast in the role is Leslie Grace.

This news comes to us from Deadline and it’s pretty interesting casting if you ask us.

Grace was last seen in the movie In The Heights which was directed by Jon M. Chu.

Now, I know there might be some people saying that she’s wrong for the role because she’s not ‘comic book accurate’.

That said, I think that doesn’t matter one bit.

And, I also think that given the fact they’ve already cast Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon in The Batman.

Now, I’m not saying that this Batgirl movie will be connected to Matt Reeves’ The Batman.

I honestly have no idea whether Warner Bros. Pictures and HBO Max want to connect those two films.

However, what I’m saying is that this isn’t the first time that they’ve differed from the comic book character’s ethnic background in these films and it really shouldn’t be an issue.

I also think that Grace is a terrific actress and will do the role justice in this Batgirl film.

The movie will be released on HBO Max exclusively and is going to be directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah.

They’ll be working off a script from Christina Hodson.
