Three More Star Trek Movies Reportedly In The Works At Paramount Pictures

Chris Pine will return as Captain Kirk in Star Trek 4 movies

Star Trek seems to be going through something of a rebirth at Paramount Pictures after they hit a bit of a brick wall with the most recent movies.

Star Trek Beyond was good, but it kind of bombed at the box office, and Star Trek: Into Darkness was not good at all.

It felt like J.J. Abrams and Paramount Pictures had really found something with the first Star Trek reboot, and then the movies gradually diminished in quality.

There was then the news that Star Trek 4 was no longer in the works because Chris Pine and Chris Hemsworth had issues with their pay.

However, there’s been a bit of a resurgence with the Star Trek franchise after we learnt that Quentin Tarantino had written a script which Abrams and Paramount loved and he might direct the movie.

Then we learnt that Noah Hawley was going to writing and directing Star Trek 4, which was great news.

We’re now learning thanks to We Got This Covered’s sources, that Paramount Pictures wants to make Star Trek 5 and 6.

This means that they’re looking to do another Star Trek trilogy. Honestly, it’s no wonder given the popularity of the franchise.

The recent Star Trek series, Star Trek Discovery, has proven to be a great success. We’re also about to get the Star Trek: Picard series, with Patrick Stewart returning as Jean-Luc Picard.

So, it’s looking good for Trekkies, who’ve been waiting for the next Star Trek movie and TV series for a long time and it seems like they’re going to get it all at once.
