The Witcher Prequel Spin-Off Reportedly In The Works At Netflix

It’s being rumoured that Netflix is working on a prequel spin-off to the hit series The Witcher starring Henry Cavill which is currently filming its second season.

The Witcher turned out to be one of 2019’s biggest hits for Netflix.

It’s not really surprising given the level of popularity the books and the video games had.

Add to this a very compelling lead in Henry Cavill and you’ve got a real winner of a series.

Honestly, I thought the first season of The Witcher wasn’t great.

However, it has bags of potential and I genuinely liked Cavill’s performance as Geralt of Rivia.

There are now rumours that Netflix is keen to do a The Witcher prequel spin-off series, and I could see that going very well for the streaming giants.

This rumour comes from We Got This Covered’s sources.

I have to make it perfectly clear here, their sources don’t always end up being right.

However, this rumour does make sense to me.

It makes sense that Netflix would be keen on milking The Witcher for all its worth.

They’re already talking about making eight seasons of the show.

Why not make a spin-off series?

The Witcher could end up being Netflix’s The Walking Dead.
