The Umbrella Academy Season 2’s Showrunner Planning For Four Seasons In Total
We’re all eagerly awaiting the next season of The Umbrella Academy (Season 2), and we’ve just heard news that Netflix and the show’s showrunners see a long future ahead of the show.
The Umbrella Academy Season 1 proved to be a huge hit with audiences across the globe. The show has fans in Europe, the US, South America, Central America, Australia… Everywhere.
People just cannot get enough of The Umbrella Academy, and after that incredible first season, it’s no wonder why.
The show, which is based on a series of comic books of the same name created by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá, has everything you could want from a TV show and more.
It’s got heroes, villains, strange powers, great acting, intriguing plots, perplexing mysteries, incredible visuals… Need I say any more.
It looks like The Umbrella Academy is going to get four seasons in all
This is fantastic news because it means they get to tell a well-rounded and complete story, which isn’t always the case with Netflix shows.
I’m still furious that Netflix cancelled Santa Clarita’s Diet, which was a brilliant show, just after two seasons, and it finished on a real cliffhanger.
Anyway, hopefully, Netflix will allow Blackman to do the full four seasons of The Umbrella Academy and tell the story he and his writers want to tell.
Technically, the show could go on forever, because there’s so much material to be inspired from thanks to the comics, but I think that four seasons is a perfectly respectable run.
