Has Nathan Fillion’s Role In The Suicide Squad Been Revealed?

It looks like Nathan Fillion’s role in The Suicide Squad may have been revealed after there were a bunch of rumours about which actors will be playing which DC Comics characters.

Nathan Fillion often appears in James Gunn’s movies – however, he hasn’t had a starring role in one of his films for a while. The last time Fillion was top billing on a Gunn movie was way back in 2006 in his horror movie, Slither.

It sounds like Fillion will have a bigger role in The Suicide Squad, and Charles Murphy, who’s pretty well known for his scoops with That Hashtag Show, took to Twitter to confirm that the former Firefly actor would be playing Arm-Fall-Off-Boy in the movie.

He also took the time to confirm that the recent scoops on the popular pop culture podcast, The Weekly Planet, in their ‘hot scoop or shot of poop’ segment, were correct. Yet, he did reveal that he couldn’t confirm who Idris Elba would be playing in the movie.

Murphy wrote: “Recent The Weekly Planet Podcast dropped a scoop about some roles in Suicide Squad. While I can’t confirm the identity of Elba’s character, I can confirm that Fillion is playing Arm-Fall-Off-Boy and the rest of the other non-lead roles discussed in the scoop. Good work, guys!”

Arm-Fall-Out-Boy is a pretty strange DC Comics character, and it’s no wonder why Gunn wanted to include him in his movie. The character has the ability to detach his arms and use them as weapons.

Sounds like Arm-Fall-Out-Boy might be quite ‘handy’ in a fight (sorry), and I cannot wait to see Nathan Fillion in action.

Gunn recently confirmed the cast for his movie, but he hasn’t announced who’ll they’ll be playing yet, and this has resulted in people wildly speculating who’ll be who on the Internet.

People have mentioned names such as Ratcatcher and Peacemaker and a whole load of other DC Comics B and C-list characters.

Gunn’s movie will be pretty much a reboot of the Suicide Squad franchise after David Ayer’s movie was utterly panned by critics and for good reason.

The film did pretty well at the box office, but the overall consensus was that it was a lot of garbage, and having someone as talented as Gunn both writing and directing the movie is a huge step forward.

It seems as those DC and Warner Bros. are being more careful about who they’re getting to make their comic book movies, and that’s a good thing.

It’s arguably resulted in the likes of Joker being made, which is a good thing in my book.

The Suicide Squad will hit UK cinemas on August 6, 2021.
