The Suicide Squad’s Director James Gunn Debunks Nathan Fillion Rumour

The Suicide Squad is James Gunn’s next big movie to come out and there have been rumours about Nathan Fillion’s role in the movie.

There were images leaked from the movie’s set and it looked like Nathan Fillion was playing a very specific DC Comics character.

It was rumoured that the former Firefly and Castle actor would be playing Arm-Fall-Off-Boy.

However, director and writer James Gunn has since debunked those rumours.

Gunn was going one of his ‘ask me anything’ sessions on Instagram, and he was asked the following question.

A fan recently asked Gunn if Nathan Fillion is playing Arm-Fall-Off-Boy in The Suicide Squad.

This is something that many people thought to be basically confirmed for a while now.

However, James Gunn exposed those reports as being fake with his one-word answer, “nope.”

This means that we’re basically back to square one when it comes to who Nathan Fillion is going to be playing in The Suicide Squad.

People were thinking that Fillion would be playing Arm-Fall-Off-Boy in The Suicide Squad after ‘Hollywood insider’ Charles Murphy said he would via Twitter.

Here’s what he had to say about it below:

Recent The Weekly Planet Podcast dropped a scoop about some roles in Suicide Squad. While I can’t confirm the identity of Elba’s character, I can confirm that Fillion is playing Arm-Fall-Off-Boy and the rest of the other non-lead roles discussed in the scoop. Good work, guys!

Turns out that Murphy wasn’t right about this one, but that leaves me wondering who will Fillion be playing in the movie.

What do you think about this? Who do you think Nathan Fillion will be playing in The Suicide Squad?
