Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’s director, J.J. Abrams, has teased that Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels’ Ahsoka Tano could cameo in the film.
Fans have been clamouring to see Ahsoka Tano in the Star Wars live-action movies ever since we first saw her in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and then later on in Star Wars Rebels, and people have been hoping to see her in Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker.
She’s a terrific character who was once the Anakin Skywalker’s padawan and ended up surviving Order 66 and then became something other than a Jedi.
Ahsoka Tano is a complex and mysterious character, and I’m pretty sure we might at least get some sort of nod and a wink to her in the final movie in this Star Wars saga.
Well, J.J. Abrams was asked about her during a recent interview with Japanese news outlet Sora News.
Before they got onto the subject of Ahsoka Tano, Abrams was asked who his favourite Star Wars character was.
Abrams responded, “Han Solo.” The writer/director then asked the interviewer who their favourite character was.
Will Ahsoka Tano turn up in Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker?
The interviewer was Ahsoka Tano. Abrams then replied:
Hmmm, Ahsoka, huh? Well then you’ll probably want to watch closely during The Rise of Skywalker.
Ahsoka Tano would be a fantastic addition to The Rise Of Skywalker’s character roster, and she’s someone who really deserves more time on-screen and more development.
We’ve seen her in the likes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels and she really is fascinating.
I really do hope that Abrams isn’t just pulling our leg and that Ahsoka will turn up in this upcoming Star Wars movie.
