Sam Raimi Reportedly Played A Big Role In Getting Original Spider-Man Stars To Join Spider-Man 3

It’s now being rumoured that San Raimi is the one who managed to convince all the stars of his Spider-Man movies to join Spider-Man 3. This rumour comes from Daniel Richtman’s Patreon page.

Daniel is what I like to call a “serial scooper”. He puts a lot of stuff out there, however, more often than not he ends up being correct with his scoops. Anyway, he’s claiming that the likes of Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, Willem Dafoe and Alfred Molina ended up agreeing to be in Spider-Man 3 because of Sam Raimi.

He’s currently directing Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness, and he’s reportedly also been helping Marvel Studios secure these incredible actors for their third Spider-Man film. Jon Watts is directing that one, and it sounds like it’s going to be, as Trump would say, “huge”!

It sounds like Sam Raimi found himself in the interesting position of being able to help Marvel Studios out some more with their Spider-Man 3 movie. He’s directing Doctor Strange 2 after Scott Derrickson left the project.

It seems like he then also helped to bring over some of the cast from his Spider-Man movies into Spider-Man 3. They obviously all respect the director and it also sounds as if the project might have been exciting enough for the likes of Willem Dafoe, Kristen Dunst, Alfred Molina and Tobey Maguire to agree to join it.
