Rosario Dawson Says Fans Got Her Cast As Ahsoka Tano In The Mandalorian

Bryce Dallas Howard: Clone Wars Fans Will Love Ahsoka Series

Rosario Dawson recently revealed that fans fan-casting her as Ahsoka Tano on Twitter were the ones who got her cast in the role on The Mandalorian Season 2. She revealed this during a recent interview with Vanity Fair.

Fans of Star Wars went into meltdown when The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 5, called Chapter 13: The Jedi, landed on Disney Plus. Why, you ask? Because it was the episode that saw Ahsoka Tano’s live-action debut in the Star Wars universe.

Tano was first seen in Dave Filoni’s animated Star Wars show, Star Wars: The Clone Wars. And fans really love her. She then turned up in Star Wars: Rebels and was the focal point of the final season of The Clone Wars.

Here’s what Rosario Dawson said about being cast as Ahsoka Tano in The Mandalorian Season 2 during her Vanity Fair interview:

Actually, it first came from fans online. Someone tweeted me and fancast me. I retweeted back and I was like, ‘Absolutely, yes please’, and ‘#AhsokaLives’. And apparently, that got the attention of someone who has been doing the Star Wars press for years. She forwarded it to Dave Filoni. That kind of started a whole thing. I was like, ‘Oh my goodness, did I just get fancast in something?’. And then nothing happened.
