Kraven The Hunter And Madame Web Delayed

Kraven The Hunter and Madame Web Sony Pictures movies have been delayed, which shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. This news was revealed by The Hollywood Reporter, and I’m starting to worry quite a bit about these upcoming Sony Pictures Spider-Man spinoff movies. There was a time when I thought that they would be OK, but then Sony released Morbius, which was pretty darn terrible. I also thought that Venom: Let There Be Carnage wasn’t great either.

This is actually the second time that the Madame Web movie has been delayed. It was originally planned to be released on April 7, 2023, but it was then pushed back to October 6th, 2023. However, the movie’s release date has now been pushed back to February 16th, 2024. As for Kraven The Hunter, the movie’s release date was moved from January 13th, 2023 to October 6th, 2023.

The upcoming Sony movie is going to star Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the titular character. I loved this casting, but there’s something about the upcoming Sony Pictures Spider-Man spinoff movies that just make me very nervous. I just have no trust in Sony these days. One of the main reasons why the Spider-Man movies are so good is because of Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige’s involvement. Sony Pictures just had to promote the movies, which they did relatively well.

As for the Madame Web movie, that’s not been pushed into 2024, which means that something’s going on with that film. The film was set to be released in April 2023, but it’s now been pushed all the way into 2024. This is rather odd since the movie’s already filming. The film is set to star Dakota Johnson as its lead, which is very good casting if you ask me. I think that Johnson is a brilliant actor and I’m interested to see what she does with the role. However, a Madame Web solo movie is an odd idea.

Why is Sony delaying their Spider-Man spinoff movies?

The Madame Web movie is being directed by S.J. Clarkson. Clarkson has worked in TV mostly and directed episodes of shows such as Anatomy of a Scandal and The Defenders. She’s also worked on shows such as Dexter, Life On Mars, and Succession to name but a few of the many shows she has been a part of. The film is also going to star Sydney Sweeney and Emma Roberts.

Roberts is down as playing Mary Parker in the movie. Mary, in the Marvel comics, is Peter Parker’s mother. Yep, she’s Spider-Man’s mom. Adam Scott is also down as playing Ben Parker – Peter’s uncle. Tahar Rahim, Zosia Mamet, Isabela Merced, Celeste O’Connor and Mike Epps are all also part of the film’s cast.

As for the Aaron Taylor-Johnson Spider-Man spinoff movie, it’s being directed by J.C. Chandor and is going to star Russell Crowe, Ariana DeBose, Fred Hechinger and Alessandro Nivola. The film’s script was written by Matt Holloway.
