Jar Jar Binks Rumoured To Be Returning For The Obi-Wan Kenobi Series

It’s now being rumoured that Jar Jar Binks will be returning for the Obi-Wan Kenobi Star Wars TV show on Disney Plus. This rumour comes to us from Making Star Wars, which is a Star Wars-centric website.

This is a rather odd one, but also not something I’m at all against. Jar Jar Binks was a really divisive character from the Star Wars prequels. He was very problematic and unfortunately, the actor who played him, Ahmed Best, was the one who got the brunt of hate about the character.

However, Jar Jar wasn’t created by Best. It wasn’t his fault and the character does deserve a little bit more love in the Star Wars universe. It sounds like they will be doing that in the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series which is coming to Disney Plus.

Here’s what Making Star Wars had to say about Jar Jar’s supposed return in the Kenobi series:

I’m told “Ben” Kenobi crosses paths with his old friend from Naboo, Jar Jar Binks. Early work has been conducted for the CGI Gungan’s return to Star Wars. Jar Jar has a beard to reflect where he’s been and what his life has been like since they were all deceived by a great lie that ushered in the first Galactic Empire. Kenobi will not be the only bearded character this time.

They also state that Jar Jar will have a beard in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. That’s going to look pretty strange, but I cannot wait to see him return.
